On-Call Scheduling and Claims Analysis Services
AVS was recently selected by Caltrans to perform Construction Scheduling and Claims Analysis Services during the construction of the SAS new Oakland-San Francisco Bay Bridge. The project involves monitoring construction schedules as well as thoroughly reviewing all plans, specifications and costs for any issue that might trigger a claim. AVS will be serving as part of the team led by CH2M Hill.
Challenges and Solutions
- Since 2001, AVS employees have been integrally involved in almost every aspect of the SFOBB’s construction.
- During that time, AVS staff served as the primary Department presenter for 11 Dispute Resolution Boards encompassing over $60 Million in potential claims for the Skyway portion of the SFOBB.
- AVS is dedicated to researching past decisions by the DRBs, incorporating lessons learned, and forging strong, mutually respectful relationships with the Contractor, Design Team, and Caltrans – to prevent disputes from occurring.
